Messenger Court, Bermondsey

Messenger Court is an occupied residential block comprising six-storeys at its highest point that was previous clad in combustible ACM cladding. The replacement panels, which the client specified were to be like for like to the previous system, were manufactured by Alucobond.

The building faced a number of challenges, including:

• The immediately adjacent railway

• Design issues due to the construction of the building

• The foot traffic into and out of the Co-op on the ground floor

• Limited site space

These issues required all aspects of the project to be managed closely to ensure continued project progress.
