Key Facts

Frensham Court is 10 storeys in height comprising 73 flats and a plant room on the roof. The works consisted of removal and replacement of the existing combustible EPS facade system and ancillary items with a non-combustible Wetherby EWI/render system. Further works included replacement of localised elements of fire-stopping, fire breaks and cavity barriers. We also replaced existing insulation with A1 Rockwool Duo Slab. Replacement of ancillary items including soffit boards to half the building and timber pattresses and plywood.

Waste Management

Our waste management programme was run extremely efficiently. Much of the material we remove is combustible, meaning they present a danger and therefore must be disposed of appropriately. For this reason, enclosed and lockable 40-yard Roll-On/Roll-Off (RORO) skips were used, preventing unauthorised access to combustible material, and reducing skip lorry movement around site. It is Lawtech policy to segregate waste wherever possible as it is essential to an effective waste management approach, and all our operatives are trained in effective waste segregation. Site operatives ensure waste is compacted where possible, so the use of the skips is optimised. Consequently, this reduces costs and ensures work is not delayed frequently due to skips being filled inefficiently.

Given that this is a highly populated and busy area, with a children’s play area and busy road nearby, an access strategy was deemed appropriate to capture, plan and outline what suitable forms of access shall be provided and their associated location.
