Lawtech have successfully completed the cladding remediation works at Priory View

Lawtech have recently successfully completed the cladding remediation works at Priory View in Southsea, Portsmouth. This building is 10 stories at its tallest point, comprising 71 residential flats.

Works included the installation of a SPSenvirowall and Rockpanel Woods rainscreen cladding system to replace existing combustible EWI and timber cladding respectively. Balconies have also been replaced with AliDeck balcony decking. Further works included the replacement of localised elements of fire-stopping, fire breaks, cavity barriers, cement particle board and insulation with non-combustible alternatives.

Lawtech supported Clarion in assisting Fratton Community Hub, which has several buildings located around the site. Fratton Community Hub delivers youth programmes and free qualifications for the community. The site’s Apprentice RLO was recruited via a flyer posted through the Community Hub, and this position was filled by a local Portsmouth resident. He has received an NVQ 2 in Business Administration on the job training, mentoring and support from our team.

Our RLOs received wonderful feedback for this project, organising fun days for the residents, along with competitions for the children. Their hard work was greatly appreciated by the team, who gifted them flowers for project completion.

We worked closely with Clarion Housing Group, Fraigneux Limited and Martin Arnold, ensuring thorough communication and that all aspects of the contract were successfully completed. Our Project Team liaised with the residents throughout the works to keep disruption and inconvenience to a minimum.
