Lawtech have successfully completed cladding refurbishment works at Lexington Apartments in central London

Lawtech has recently successfully completed the cladding remediation works at Lexington Apartments on City Road, London. The building comprises a total 89 residential flats over an 11-storey block and a 5-storey block. There is a double-level basement car park which can be accessed from City Road.   

Located close to Old Street Station, this was an extremely busy location with many retail units and Bunhill Fields burial ground to the south and west of the building. Works included the removal of combustible ACM cladding panels and replacement with a Genius Facades A1 rainscreen cladding system. Temporary works required to allow these works to take place included: temporary electrical installations, removal of bicycle stands and waste bins, plywood protection to stone pillars and railings bordering Bunhill Fields, and plywood protection to headstones adjacent to the apartments.  

We liaised with Harris Associates and FR Consultants throughout to ensure successful completion of the project and keep disruption to a minimum.
